Description

Project Coordinator to provide assistance for estimating, purchasing and construction activities in the pre-design, pre-construction, construction phases and ensure projects are on schedule and on budget.  

What will you do?
Assisting in performing take-offs of approved project plans
Resolve discrepancies in project plans or specifications between disciplines such as: architectural, civil, electrical and mechanical
Liaise with site staff in regard to scheduling sub-trades and vendors
Assist in sourcing, securing and negotiating with sub-trades and vendors
Participate in project sub-contract buyout, reviewing conclusions and exclusions to ensure complete project scope is assigned to sub-trades
Accountable for assigned project delivery including management of schedule, quality and scope
Assist in computing costs by analyzing trades and labour, materials, cycle times and cost to complete
Report on specified interval the status of schedule and budget
Assist in PDI inspections and multifamily occupancy turnovers
Actively participate in project start up and close out meetings
Conduct project evaluation at the conclusion of each project
Participate in the development of systems, standards and processes for the division

What type of experience and skills do you have?
3+ years progressive experience in construction, purchasing/estimating experience in ICI, retail and multifamily construction
Postsecondary degree/diploma majoring in Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural Technologies
Gold Seal with CIC, SCMP would be considered an asset
Highly proficient in PlanSwift, JDE Homebuilder and Hyphen, MS Excel
Be familiar with project scope i.e. plans, specifications, change orders, supplemental instructions, RFIs, contracts, LOIs and daily site processes are in order
Understand all tender requirements and processes that include ICI divisions 1 to 24, perusal of bonding, insurance, WCB and registration forms
