POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Camecos finance department provides a pivotal role in the overall success of the corporation.  The project accounting team works directly with the major projects department and Northern Saskatchewan locations to ensure the financial success of our various projects. We are looking for a professional, detail oriented and analytical team player to join Cameco in this challenging and rewarding role.

As a member of this dynamic team you will undertake various aspects of project reporting and control processes including compiling, analysing and reporting financial information for internal and external stakeholders. Keeping in compliance with proper accounting standards, you will complete monthly financial documents, budgets and related justifications. Coordination and contribution to the strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting of the projects will also be a critical component of the role. You will be given the opportunity to travel to our northern operations and work closely with the site project management teams.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Requirements of the position:
    Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
    Seven plus years of relevant work experience
    Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
    Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
    High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Assets:
    SAP experience  Applicants will be considered for a level within the job progression, which is appropriate to their qualifications.
