General Information:
The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) is a National organization promoting and supporting the meaningful and equitable employment of people with disabilities. We accomplish this by working one-on-one and in a group setting with people with disabilities to support their employment search; and with employers to educate and support them in the hiring of people with disabilities.
Scope and Purpose:
The Employment Coordinator is responsible for working in a team setting with the Employment Outreach Specialist, focusing on coordination, leadership and guidance to clients (eligible job seekers with disabilities), employers and community stakeholders. The Employment Coordinator works with clients with disabilities to obtain equitable and meaningful employment.
The Employment Coordinator is responsible for managing an active client caseload, using professional employment counselling techniques, with the goal of assisting clients with disabilities in seeking and retaining employment in a one-on-one or group setting. The Employment Coordinator provides client driven outcome based support to clients in the development and achievement of an individualized Employment Action Plan. The Employment Coordinator has strong computer skills as they have a lead responsibility in working with the Government of Canadas Grants and Contributions Online Services (GCOS).
