The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is now accepting applications for the following term position based out of Chief Moses Ratt School, Sucker River:
INTERVENTIONIST
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students assigned who need intervention in a separate classroom.
- Prepare additional support material for the classroom that demonstrate the concepts taught in the lessons and activities that the students can use to develop their skills.
- Communicate the results of testing and evaluation of assigned students to their teacher, school administrators and parents in a timely fashion.
- Keep other teachers informed of any special circumstances on a need-to-know basis.
- Participate with the classroom teacher, building administrator and parents to identify how much intervention help a student needs.
- Work with first tier and second tier students who need interventions designed specifically for them.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Grade 12 and/or some post-secondary training;
- Essential skills: planning, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership and creativity skills;
- Demonstrated communication (written and verbal), public relations, computer, and organizational skills:
