Description

Leadership:
Provide leadership and direction to program coordinators/managers, staff and casual and project workers;
Monitor staff performance to ensure quality professional services to community members is delivered;
Provide a safe working environment for employees, clients and visiting professionals within the Health and Wellness Centre;
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and encourage strong ethical relationship with eternal health and wellness organizations, federally, provincially and regionally;
Strategic Planning:
Oversee the development and implementation of multi-year operational plans to meet the physical and mental health needs of community members;
Reporting and Compliance:
Safeguard program(s) accreditation by ensuring evaluation criteria is met and incorporated into all aspects of service delivery,
Policy and Regulation:
Provide support to Chief and Council in regards to government policies, strategies, regulations and legislation that could potentially impact the health of the community;
Participate in the Flying Dust First Nations Emergency Preparedness Plan development and implementation.
Reporting:
Ensure that all reporting requirements are met in accordance with government contribution specifications and requirements
Keep Chief and Council informed and abreast of existing programs and services as well as emerging health issues and concerns.
Budget & Proposals:
Prepare and submit proposals to federal and provincial organizations for funding in support of program delivery
Responsible for the development and effective administration of annual budgets in accordance with Flying Dust First Nations governance and Health Canada;
