Senior Analyst, Accounting & Reporting

Innovative, collaborative, flexible and accountableif this sounds like you, consider this position with SaskCentral. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting & Reporting, you will provide expertise and leadership in the preparation and delivery of financial and regulatory reporting for SaskCentral and its clients.

The Job
In this position you will be responsible for the external financial reporting function for SaskCentral and the accounting services for our external clients. You will also provide subject matter expertise on technical projects for SaskCentral. You will be proficient in preparing financial and management reports including quarterly and annually required tax returns. You will co-ordinate and provide information for the annual external audit process and various internal audits. You will understand the proposed changes to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on our reporting methodologies and financial statements. An important part of this role will be to provide leadership to the team by motivating and engaging employees, setting performance standards, coaching and providing feedback.

The Candidate
You will have a degree in Business Administration/Commerce supplemented by a professional accounting designation (CPA) and three years of experience in a financial accounting environment. You will have comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting and reporting principles, specifically IFRS as well as tax and regulatory requirements. You will also have solid problem solving skills, advanced research and analytical skills complemented with strong communication skills. Experience with Oracle software, the credit union system and/or financial services sector would be an asset.
