Description

We are looking for a full-time Construction Manager. This is an office position located in the Saskatoon Norseman Structures facility. Frequent travel to job sites is required often involving overnight or extended durations.

Tasks/Responsibilities
Manages construction phase of projects from planning to completion to meet cost, schedule, quality and
HSE expectations
Participates in project decisions regarding technical approaches, contracting strategies, cost, and schedule
during the proposal, planning and implementation stages
Develops the construction execution plan, including ensuring materials, manpower, equipment, construction
processes, and site authorizations are in place, approved by the customer and communicated to
construction team members prior to site mobilization
Plans and prepares construction schedules, establishes milestones and monitors project progress.
Ensures the project Quality plan and that all quality and technical specifications are implemented and
adhered to.
Supports site superintendents with sub- contractor issues, scope change requests, progress payments and
change orders.
Conducts site visits and work place audits on a regular basis.

Education/Experience
Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Civil), with a focus on Construction Management or Project
Management or a combination of relevant education and experience
10+ years of relevant industry experience, of which 3+ years must be in a proven managerial/supervisory
role
Steel-framed, fabric-covered buildings installation experience is an asset.
Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through.
Strong interpersonal with an ability to manage diverse personalities
Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
