CONFIDENTIAL SECRETARY MAYORS OFFICE
Term Up to Twelve (12) Months

The City of Prince Albert invites applications for the term position of Confidential Secretary in the Mayors Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide variety of confidential secretarial duties for the Mayor, as well as providing assistance to Members of Council and other Administration as required.
The successful candidate will play an important role in the daily operation of the Mayors Office. Duties will include management of the Mayors meeting schedule and activities, correspondence, dictation, and following up on issues and concerns.
Desired Qualifications Include:
Completed Certificate related to office education from a recognized post-secondary institute, plus 3 years of related experience; or,
5 years clerical experience in a government environment where a considerable amount of function is working with senior management, elected officials and the general public.
Ability to effectively use a variety of computer programs, including word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact when dealing with all materials and situations.
Demonstrated organizational skills necessary to plan and execute work requirements with minimal supervision.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
