FCL invites applications for the position of Trailer Mechanic (day shift) to work at our truck fabrication and trailer service shop. FCL manufactures, retrofits and services new petroleum delivery trucks and conducts service work on petroleum delivery trailers.

The Mechanics on our day shift will work Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, responsibilities for this position include the following:
    To perform mechanical services on petroleum delivery units.
    To perform mechanical services and repairs on semi-trailer units, such as suspension work, performing wheel alignments, troubleshooting and repairing airbrake systems and ABS systems.
    To install and troubleshoot truck mounted fuel management equipment, including PTOs, pumps and meters.
    To install and troubleshoot 12/24 V electrical truck and trailer components.
    Testing and inspections required by Transport Canada on cargo tanks and associated equipment
    To operate, maintain and service steamer.
    To be responsible for preventative maintenance of shop equipment and tools.
    To be familiar with and observe department rules and regulations regarding equipment, tools and safety.
