Reporting to the Branch manager, responsibilities include :
Lead the warehouse team by hiring, training, assigning duties, scheduling, coaching, communicating job expectations, planning and monitoring them throughout the day;
Implementing and adhering to Kaycan policies and procedures;
Maintaining building infrastructure;
Maintaining inventory by conducting weekly cycle counts and reconciling variances;
Managing inventory levels during peak seasons by communicating with the Order Desk and Sales Teams;
Work closely with Order Desk personnel to review reports to ensure stock is received in a timely fashion to complete orders;
Keep equipment and fleet operating by enforcing operating instructions, daily inspections, troubleshooting breakdowns, preventative maintenance, calling for repairs;
Organize floor space, adhere to storage design and identity warehouse systems improvements;
Ensure proper warehouse staffing levels during peak periods.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications :
Five years warehouse experience managing employees (preferably in a medium to large warehouse);
Physically fit, in order to lift heavy material and assist in the warehouse;
Able to work in a fast paced environment and lead by example;
Well organized, energetic and a team player with exceptional customer service skills;
Dependable, safety oriented and able to manage time;
Strong computer skills and experience with an ERP or database is an asset;
Forklift experience.
