Description
The Cathedral Area Co-Operative Daycare is currently seeking an exciting, caring and engaging Early Childhood Educator to lead our Pre-school age children. The Cathedral Area Co-operative Daycare is located in the heart of the Cathedral Area and prides itself on its small and diverse community of children, parents and caregivers, as well as, the quality of programming offered.
Skills and Abilities
-Ensure the well- being and safety of children enrolled in the centre at all times.
-Plan and implement programming appropriate to the developmental level of children which embraces the vision and principles of Play Exploration
-Have knowledge of Ministry guidelines pertaining to operating a daycare ensuring all regulations are followed.
-Follow centre operational policies and procedures.
-Responsible for working with all staff members and the director in co-operative manner to provide a flexible and stimulating program.
-Communicate and collaborate with families, staff, director and the community to support high quality child care.
-Have knowledge and ability to work in culturally diverse environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and certification as an ECE II or III as determine by the Ministry of Education.
Willingness to further pursue ECE training requirements to meet certification, where applicable.
Possession of or willingness to attend staff meetings and Professional Development workshops .
A criminal record check.
CPR and First Aid Certificate.
