We have an opening for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer.
You will be responsible for providing overhead and underground electric utility design at our Regina location.
Your daily work:
Design of underground and overhead electrical distribution infrastructure (4kV 25kV system voltages).
Electrical and mechanical engineering calculations for underground and overhead systems.
Lighting design and analysis using AGI32 simulation software.
Design coordination with customers, municipal authorities, other utilities & various project stakeholders.
Project schedule management and tracking.
Customer meetings and site inspections.
Technical mentorship of Junior Engineers & Technologists.
Technical review of designs produced by Junior Engineers & Technologists.
Being part of a great team and shaping the future of the industry.
Other duties as required.
You must have:
An Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university and be eligible for registration with APEGS as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-In-Training.
Great interpersonal skills with the ability to develop business relationships conducted in a professional manner.
Strong collaborative skills and willingness to liaise with other disciplines (marketing, drafting, construction, survey, and civil) to ensure projects are accurate, compliant, on-time and on-budget.
A passion for your work and a drive for excellence.
Class 5 drivers license.
A few qualifications that would help you succeed:
Experience working in the electric utility or related engineering environment, with extensive experience in design and cost estimating of electrical distribution projects.
Experience with AutoCAD, Small World GIS, MS Office and distribution design software.
Experience with PLS-CADD, CYME, or AGI32.
Experience in the renewables industry or wind/solar collector design is considered an asset.
Experience with RTK survey equipment.
