Description

Spareparts is seeking an experienced, well-organized and highly-motivated Web Designer to become a full-time member of our Creative Team. In this new position, you will be responsible for developing, creating and maintaining the aesthetic, layout and features of our website and applications. You will work with our marketing and design teams, and report to the Creative Director.

Responsibilities include:

Designing and building responsive webpages using HTML, HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS and Jquery

Developing and editing website content and graphics by coordinating with designers and copy writer

Designing images, icons, banners, and embedding video and audio content

Developing website navigation by categorizing content and funneling traffic through content

Building and editing HTML Email templates

Solving code problems


The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced team environment and will possess the following skills and qualifications:


Post-secondary education in computer technology and website design

An impressive portfolio that highlights your skills and abilities

Experience in Content Management

Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver

Knowledge in Magento is not required; however, it would be considered an asset

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines  

Ability to work in a self-directed manner and as part of a team, completing tasks with minimal supervision  

Interest in developing and expanding skills through various learning opportunities
