Melfort Daycare Cooperative is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to provide one on one support to a child with diverse needs in our care. The successful candidate would need to have experience in the ECE field and/or the community disablilies field.
Essential Skills

Children'S Ages
- 5 years
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
- Assess the developmental level of children
Additional Skills
- Assist in maintaining records of children
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
- Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
- Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
Experience With Children Who Have Special Needs
- Children with a mental health disability
- Children with an intellectual disability
- Children with behavioural issues
