Applications are invited for 2 tenure-track faculty positions in Emergency and Critical Care at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. These positions are available July 1, 2018 but the start date is negotiable.
The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include: high quality didactic and clinical instruction in Emergency and Critical Care to undergraduate and postgraduate veterinarians, residents, interns and veterinary technicians; supervisory and organizational oversight for the full service Emergency Service and Intensive Care Unit; supervisory case management and consultation for emergency and critical care cases presenting to the Veterinary Medical Centre, and research and scholarship in the field of Emergency and Critical Care.
Applicants must possess a DVM degree or its equivalent and must be eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate should be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care or have credentials acceptable to the ACVECC at the time the appointment becomes effective. Diplomate status in the ACVECC is required for tenure. An advanced research degree is desirable.
The current salary ranges are Assistant Professor $93,293.00 to $112,109.00 and Associate Professor $112,109.00 to $130,925.00.
