Description

Job Description: Camp Monahan is searching for a mature, enthusiastic, patient, caring First Aid Attendant. The successful applicant will have good leadership abilities as well as a strong love of children, nature and camp life. First Aid skills and current First Aid/CPR certification is mandatory. Prior to camp season the First Aid Attendant will be responsible for buying first aid supplies and ensuring the First Aid station is adequately prepared and stocked at all times.  At the start of the week the First Aid Attendant will be responsible for meeting with parents and discussing all medications to be administered throughout the week, as well discussing any medical concerns they may have. Maintaining confidential records of health, medical or accident incidents, administration of medications with accuracy.  The First Aid responsibilities throughout the 7 weeks include administering medications and any emergency first aid throughout the camping season to both campers and staff.  Ensure safe storage and secure storage of medicines, drugs, and medical supplies.  Available to take charge of medical emergencies; ensuring whereabouts are known by staff at all times while on duty and aware of emergency procedures of camp.  Working with the Camp Director to inform parents/guardians of health/medical situations as warranted.  You must adhere to Camp policy and be a positive role model at all times.
Requirements:
- First Aid/CPR C current certification
- Boat operator's certificate
- Practicing Catholic and/or comfortable with Christian teachings and practices
ALL REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND A CRIMINAL/VULNERABLE SECTOR RECORDS CHECK REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE.
