Job Description: Camp Monahan is seeking both male and female camp counselors to lead groups of children aged 6 through 13. Counselors are responsible for the campers' well-being physically, mentally and spiritually through all camp programs. Counselors will work with groups of 5 to 12 campers per week and will be responsible to accompany these groups throughout their day. The aim of this position is to ensure that all campers have a quality camping experience. Candidates must be 16 or 15 if you have completed the Counselor-In-Training Program. Are responsible to get to know the campers, paying attention to medical, physical, social, cognitive needs and cues. You will work closely with your fellow staff and fully participate in daily programs, chapel, campfire, meals, group activities and staff meetings.Interested applicants can e-mail an update resume, cover letter and 3 references to monahanappsonly@gmail.com no later than March 1st, 2017.  This person must adhere to Camp policy and be a positive role model at all times.
Skills/Assets:
- Practicing Catholic and/or comfortable with Christian teachings and practices
- First Aid/CPR C
- Outdoor education experience, boating, canoeing, hiking, swimming: experience with children and a love of nature and camp life
- Willingness to volunteer in pre-camp preparation, camp shutdown, fundraising, promotion activities
