ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities and duties are, but not limited to:
Setup and operate laser equipment
Troubleshoot and correct any quality deficiencies associated with laser cutting
Perform regular machine maintenance
Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications
Sorting, Marking parts, producing and maintaining documentation.
Maintain inventory of laser material, and perform material handling tasks
Pay attention to detail and be able to work independently
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
4+ years experience operating a laser cutting machine and programming
Knowledge relating to computer programs/ programming ( G-code)
Ability to accurately measure material with a caliper, micrometer and tape measure
Understanding of dimensional tolerances
Organized, ability to plan
Must be able to accurately read and interpret drawings
Able to work in a physically demanding indoor environment
Able to lift 25kg routinely
Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility when necessary, and to work as part of the team
Fluent in English, Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Specific Skills
- Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions
- Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
