Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives and our community?  As Executive Director, your visionary, strategic and leadership skills will be instrumental in managing operations, overseeing programs and facilitating organizational growth.  Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for:

1. Leadership, Strategic Planning & Communications
- Provide strategic leadership, build confidence and trust with the Board, stakeholders, managers and employees.  Demonstrate relationship building, communications and PR skills.
- Attend Board of Director meetings and report on financial operations, program activities and recommendations for new initiatives.
- Research funding and program agreements; prepare proposals, financials and final report submissions.

2. Program Planning & HR Management
- Be involved in the planning, implementation and evaluation of current programs, supporting employees and addressing issues as they arise.
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset to plan, recommend and implement innovative programs to enhance and grow the organization.

3. Operations & Financial Management
- Manage financial activities and work with accounting representatives to compile financial statements and year end.

Education & Experience:
- A related Degree or Masters in business administration, human services, healthcare, recreational therapy or related discipline is preferred.
- 5 - 10 years leadership/management experience in the non-profit sector is an asset.  

Personality/Desired attributes:
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic leader with exemplary communications skills, analytical abilities and relationship/people skills.
- Creative and strategic visionary, entrepreneurial thinker with high ethical standards and a strong operational focus.
- Strong experience/knowledge of financials and business/non-profit operations.
