Circulation Clerk
Part-time/On Call Position one 4-hour shift per week plus occasional Saturdays.
Fall/Winter Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday 4:00-8:00 p.m., 1:00-5:00 on Saturdays.
Summer Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday 2:00-6:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Salary $12.00 per hour. Deadline March 1, 2017.
Duties:
The Circulation Clerk is responsible for circulating and processing library materials, shelving, craft preparation, patron registrations, assisting patrons with computer searches, trouble-shooting computer and printer problems, and telephone inquiries. Entrusted for handling small amounts of cash.
Requirements:
Intermediate computer skills.
Must be dependable and available for evening and Saturday shifts.
Must be able to work independently and be responsible for opening and closing the library on Saturdays and closing on week-nights.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with people in a friendly and open manner is essential.
Must have demonstrated ability to exercise reasonable judgment and discretion.
Must be able to establish work priorities with assigned responsibilities.
Ability to complete assigned tasks in given period.
Ability to work with scissors, tape and glue.
