Sandcastles is looking for a full time employee to work with our preschool children. The position involves supervision of children and the integration of the Play and Exploration philosophy in the daily activities of those children. Sandcastles has high expectations of staff and is looking for commitment to full time hours and the children in your care. Sandcastles offers opportunities for further education and training in the field of early childhood education. The chosen staff must have a minimum level I ECE and be well versed in Play and Exploration and the role it plays in the education and learning for preschool children. The chosen candidate must have excellent work ethic, be professional in appearance and response to duties and expectations. Sandcastles is seeking someone who is a positive role model and can work well with other staff.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
- Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
- Plan and develop child care and nursery school programs
- Assess the developmental level of children
- Knowledge of licensing regulations
