Description

The coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the community gardens program including  (but not limited to) promotion, fundraising, grant proposal writing, running membership meetings and workshops. This position is responsible for overseeing staff and volunteers, promoting social inclusiveness amongst gardeners and to maintain clean, accessible gardens.

Interest / experience in sustainable environmental practices (ex. composting, water conservation, pesticide free gardening) is an asset.

Education for this position would have been gained through community development education and / or horticulture or a combination of experience and education. Potential candidate should have previous experience working in a leadership capacity.
