Description:

We currently have two full time positions in our Emerald Park locations. Educators with ECE III, II or I or someone willing to work towards their level 1.

Early childhood skills required:

Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
Conduct and monitor activity programs following the play and exploration as a guideline
Discuss progress with parents and at staff meetings
Observe children and report concerns as needed to supervisor
Prepare craft materials and assist children with them as needed
Greet each child and parent in a warm, friendly manner upon arrival and departure
Establish routines and provide positive guidance
Ensures confidentiality of privileged information
Collaboratively work with community agencies and professionals
Maintains cleanliness of common areas and staff room within the centre
Must be observant of children?s interest and education environment; and be willing to continually adapt programming and environment to meet the children?s needs.

Early Childhood Skills:

Knowledge of licensing regulations
Plan and develop curriculum based on the children?s interest
Able to assess each child?s needs and adjust program accordingly

Credentials:

Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate, ECE level 1 or be willing to work towards level 1
Criminal record check (vulnerable sector)
Standard First Aid/AED level C
Certificate in Safe Food Handling
