Description

THE POSITION: Reporting to the AVP, Accounting Services, this position is primarily responsible for the execution of high level accounting processes required to provide timely and accurate delivery of consolidated financial information as well as lead the financial reporting of Innovations subsidiary companies and substantial investments. Responsibilities will include:
- support overall leadership and direction to the accounting department within Innovation Credit Union
- Play an integral role in the annual budgeting process including coordinating the gathering of information for the annual operating and capital budget from senior management
- Prepare and deliver necessary financial accounting reporting to stakeholders, including the maintenance, preparation, and delivery of all financial reporting to the regulator (CUDGC)
- Prepare information for interim and year end audit as well as information for the preparation of the tax return
- Evaluate current financial practices and procedures as to efficiency and risk in order to safeguard credit union assets
