Facility: SASKATOON CITY HOSPITAL
Job Description: The Staff Occupational Therapist is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team of FIT For Active Living Program. The Staff Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluation, physical reconditioning, work hardening, functional activity simulation, vocational reintegration and education for clients with musculoskeletal injuries. Therapist will work in a team to assess and treat tertiary rehabilitation patients recovering from an automobile collision.
Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the Saskatoon Health Region and its affiliated agencies

Knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, work hardening, functional and ergonomic evaluation and chronic pain management.  The Staff Occupational Therapist is required to attain CPR certification at Level "C".

Expected Start Date: March 9, 2017
