Description

This position is responsible for supporting breeding activities throughout the field season.  This includes assisting with seed set up, leading a group of high school students through nursery plot maintenance and harvest and assisting in blackleg ratings.

25%-Collaborate with breeding team to coordinate and execute on nursery plot maintenance, selfing and harvest.  This includes leading a team of high school students and ensuring quality control
25%-Perform data collection and organization from various yield trial and nursery sites
25%-Lead a group of high school students and temporary workers through nursery plot maintenance
15%-Seed set up support
10%-Disease nursery support

Required Qualifications:

  -ability to work outdoors all day
  -ability to lift 40 lbs
