Job Description:

Under the direction of the Manager of the Lloydminster Golf & Curling Centre (LGCC), the Golf Professional manages and coordinates the recreation programs, tournaments and facility operations.  In coordination with the Manager, LGCC this position oversees the day-to-day operations of the golf course and pro shop.

Key responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the operations of the LGCC.
Establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with internal staff and external user groups.
Management duties including, providing direction to employees and contractors by planning, assigning and supervising work.
Plan and coordinate supplies and resources for facility bookings including tournaments and other golf events.
Coordinate marketing strategies and programs for optimum facility usage.
Coordinate with the People Department to fulfill staffing needs and requirements for the facility.


Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma or GED. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Degree or Diploma in a related field including: Commerce, Business Administration, Hospitality or Recreation.
Three years of prior management or supervisory experience.
Demonstrated commitment to provide exceptional customer service.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, organization and time management skills.
Candidates must be motivated and friendly with a positive, professional disposition.

This position is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal record check prior to start date.
