Description

Canadas largest automotive group is currently recruiting for a Regional Controller /Director of Finance to join our management team. This position will be based in Regina and will oversee the Companys operations for the province of Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the National Finance Team, and working closely with the Regional Operations director, this position is responsible for performing a variety of activities in support of a financial reporting function, including staff management, financial records preparation and analysis, and adherence to all standard accounting practices and statutes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Conduct analysis of financial statements  capitalization, liquid asset ratio, debt-to-equity ratio
    Ensure all month-end, quarterly and year-end reports are completed on time and accurately, including reports to Managers, and company Board of Directors
    Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget
    Review financial expenses and profits; analyze trends for each store and discuss with Head of Operations and Board of Directors
    Responsible for expense analysis and control
    Preparation of presentations for the monthly and year-to-date financial results
    Recruit, train, supervise and assist, where necessary, stores accounting team
    Support store accounting team on financial statements and accounting issues
    Participate in all aspects of the Group financial review program
    Ensure all standard accounting policies, procedures and controls are consistently and accurately applied
    Adhere to all government regulations and Group policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    University degree or equivalent in the field of Chartered Accounting
    CPA Designation preferred
