Description

avenue living, a fast-paced, fast-growing owner and operator of apartment buildings in Western Canada, is seeking an electrician to join our Swift Current and regional team.
Your Goals
Install, examine, replace and repair and maintain electrical systems as per requirements of the electrical code and certification.
Upgrade electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
Bend and Install surface mount  electrical conduit
Upgrade electrical system from the new breaker panels to each new outlet, switch and fixture in every suite.
Pull, splice, and terminate wires.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawing.
Troubleshoot and perform electrical repairs in line with certification.
Plan details or working procedures to affect the most logical approach to the job
Test and measure voltage, loads and faults of circuits.
Install replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures,
Conduct preventive maintenance programs related to the electrical systems.
Work closely with operations personnel.
Respond to emergency situations as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Your Skills
Red Seal Journeyman Electrician
Electrical experience in a residential multi-family environment is a must
Experience with electrical upgrades of older buildings will be considered an asset.
Ability to trouble-shoot difficult problems with 120V or low voltage systems (such as intercoms).
Experience with building intercoms and mechanical control systems considered an asset.
Strong working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations
Travel will be required to ensure all centers under this incumbent are operating effectively, consistently and according to schedule
Must have valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle
Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check
