Project: Regina Tool-Sharing Network
Duties and Responsibilities:
The student researcher will be working closely with university and community partners on a project to determine a feasible model for a tool-sharing initiative in Regina. Main duties will include an online search of comparable sharing economy initiatives, interviews with professionals in law, insurance, and nonprofit fields, and writing a feasibility report.
Qualifications:
Open to qualified University of Regina undergraduate or graduate students. Required skills include: strong communication skills, both oral and written; good interpersonal skills; research experience; and strong computer skills. Interest in the sharing economy is an asset. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with good time management. We will ask you to demonstrate your enthusiasm, examples of your independent work, and also your willingness to chase leads.
Schedule:
The student researcher will be contracted for a maximum of 120 hours of work from March 6 - April 30, 2017. The work hours and the location of the work are somewhat flexible.
Wage:
The wage will reflect CUPE 2419 rates ($17/hr 4th year, $20/hr Masters)
