Reporting to the Executive Director, The Environmental Services Manager is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and repair of all internal & external building systems, ensuring all conformance requirements pertaining to environmental services.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee/perform all internal & external maintenance tasks e.g. plumbing, electrical, snow removal
Monitor inventories of departmental supplies (Housekeeping, Maintenance & Laundry)
Set up & monitor operation of preventitive maintenance programs
Recruit, orient, train & supervise environmental/housekeeping/laundry staff.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience related to evidence based practices associated with housekeeping, laundry and maintenance
Minimum 2 years experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
Preference given to those skilled in basic electrical, mechanical, carpentry and plumbing
Must possess good oral, and written skills
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
Valid Class 4 or higher drivers license
Knowledge of building code and fire code
