Sales Agronomist (Lake Lenore, SK)

Within our GROW team of agro-business professionals the Sales Agronomist will take a lead role in partnering with local producers in the Northeast Saskatchewan region. This position is based out of Lake Lenore, SK.

The Sales Agronomist will be responsible for preforming a variety of duties including, but not limited to: develop and implement a farm contact plan, providing our customers with relevant, timely, accurate information on agronomy, products and services available through Co-op; provide agronomic information and guidance on seed, pest identification and management and where applicable crop nutrition;  aid local producers in finding innovative solutions to help grow their business; deliver on field activities such as scouting and soil testing where required and communicate results effectively to grower customers; to be responsible for purchasing, sales, margin, expenses; develop and support an AG GROW Team marketing team; support and assist additional AG division operations; ensure customer service is a top priority by efficiently answering to product inquires, orders and resolution of complaints; ensure proper health and safety procedures are followed; all other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture and/or CCA certification with 5-7+ years industry related work experience. Knowledge of sales and the rural farming business is essential. General knowledge of the Co-operative Retail System and its culture is considered an asset.
The candidate must have a Class 5 Drivers License. Local travel is required 75% of the time. Hours of this position will be 40 hours per week with the possibility of early mornings, late evenings and weekends.

This position will report to the Crop Supplies Operations Manager and home office will be the Lake Lenore Administration Office in Lake Lenore, SK.
