Role:
Reporting to the Director of Independent Sales, this position will be responsible for establishing profitable sales objectives for designated street territories and providing direction and support in the attainment of profitable sales targets including sales, margin, pieces and penetration on the respective territories.
Role Responsibilities:
-Provide training and direction to Marketing Associates Trainees and Marketing Associates (MAs).
-Monitor, manage and coach Mas in designated territories in achieving company goals as laid out in our annual performance management system.
-Assist in advocating and supporting change.
-Restructure existing sales territories and make adjustments to sales team when indicated.
-Identify and direct MAs on the capture of new street accounts in their territories.
-Effectively plan and execute the minimum requirements for weekly MA work-withs.
-Provide accurate, complete and timely feedback to the Director of Independent Sales of all new market opportunities and competitive activity.
-Develop and recommend plans to the Director of Independent Sales to build team morale and superior team results.
-Revise ongoing MA call schedules to maximize time vs. costs vs. sales
-Assist the MAs with collection of outstanding receivables on all territories within designated territories.
-Actively participate in sales meetings, sales promotions and food expos.
-Prepare the annual territory sales budget forecasts and manage the territory operating expenses for review and approval of the Director of Independent Sales.
-Assist MAs in business review pre-work, the building of gap identification and creating and selling the process.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
-Minimum of 5 years foodservice selling expeirence or equivalent relevant selling experience.
