FCL invites applications for the position of Government Relations Manager in our home office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The objective of the Government Relations function is to influence public policy, legislation and regulations at all levels to manage the operational impact of the regulatory environment and to ensure market opportunities are provided to the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). This is done by proactively monitoring government actions, engaging the appropriate resources, developing policy positions and implementing effective communication and advocacy strategies such that the organizations interests are represented.
The successful candidate will have a University degree in Communications, Business, Government Relations or a related field and minimum 5 years of progressive business experience. Government Relations experience is an asset. Experience in the CRS or co-op sector is an asset. Proficiency in written communications is required. Experience in legislative, regulatory, political or public affairs is an asset.
