Job Description: The Regional Manager, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety will work with all levels of staff, regional partners, other health care providers and the community to maintain and improve the quality of care and services in regard to Patient Safety. Through collaboration in a team environment this position is accountable to the following: 1)Promote the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) philosophy and the development, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives and practices. 2)Monitor and coordinate consumer health related concerns and inquiries. 3)Coordinate risk management and patient safety activities. 4)Coordinate the process for the standardization of the regional policies, procedures and forms.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing OR Degree in Allied Health Services or Administration/Commerce with experience in a wide variety of health care disciplines
Experience
Recognized degree in a health related field. Five years relevant experience. Eligible for licensure/registration/membership in professional/provincial health care association. Health care background and experience with quality improvement processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Valid drivers license
Knowledge of Quality Improvement principles
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with employee information
Knowledge of negotiation and conflict management techniques and methods
Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Possess excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build effective teams and maintain relations based on trust, accountability, and open communications
