Travelodge Hotel & Conference Centre Regina is seeking an experienced, professional and driven individual to take on a Management role in our Banquet department.
Working closely with our Catering department under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, this position will be responsible for all aspects of events taking place in our onsite Banquet and function rooms including weddings, conferences and meetings.
Some of the duties and responsibilities associated with the Banquet Manager role include:
Overseeing and facilitating day to day departmental duties including communicating with customers and answering inquiries
Coordinating, assigning and reviewing any Banquet related tasks
Providing guidance to staff
Upholding customer service and property standards
Evaluating staff in accordance with standards and policies
Training and assisting with the development of staff members within the department
This full-time position entails working 5 days a week in a variety of shifts. The ideal applicant for this position will be motivated and should thrive in a position which requires multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment. A minimum 5 years experience working in a Banquet or Food & Beverage related role is required along with a minimum 2 years previous supervisory or management experience.
Candidates must be fluent in English both verbally and through written means to ensure effective communication with guests and fellow staff members. Individuals whom possess outstanding decision-making skills, pay attention to detail and strive to deliver superior customer service will fit well into this role.
