We require a motivated, quick learner able to work under minimal supervision, take projects & tasks from start to completion. The individual must work well with team members, plus execute duties independently.
Educational requirements Electronics Technician Certificate or equivalent with proven experience and work examples. At least 5 years of experience in Electronic Technician position is a must.
The ideal candidate will need excellent communication skills to participate in the development of project proposals, system test design, schedules & milestones. Requirements & experience with the following:
- Understanding of circuit design at a moderate to advanced level.
- Diagnosing problems with boards by analyzing circuit blocks & comparing expected responses to actual responses.
- Electronics schematic comprehension required.
- Circuit board repair using soldering techniques & moderate board rework to replace broken parts or find them.
- Working with power supplies, multi-meters, logic analyzers & PCs running custom software for functional testing & logging results to a database.
- Creating documentation to summarize testing results for future use & keep track of repairs in progress & those completed.
- Well organized and independent thinker who can work with minimal supervision to accurately control & log the flow of product to be worked on against the flow of outgoing repairs or unrecoverable products to be sure everything is accounted for.
- Programming boards with firmware images used in production testing & customer functionality.
- Running functional test software on hundreds of boards in sequence to confirm proper assembly before passing product on to final assembly and customer shipping.
- Repetitious assembly of products including attaching screws, cables, glue & batteries when repair work isn't necessary or caught up.
