Description

Position:
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the marketing, advertising, social media and digital media strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities:
Provide marketing and communications expertise and guidance in the development of the annual marketing plan.  The Marketing Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the implementation of the annual marketing plan.

Including:
Develop marketing communications strategy & campaigns.
Manage the design and distribution of digital and print marketing materials.
Event coordination
Assist with social media monitoring and postings.
Maintain and update websites
Identify and implement new marketing opportunities.
Source out advertising opportunities, and coordinate media buy.  
Prepare news releases, advisories, backgrounders, and other written media materials.
Assist with market research and data collection including maintenance of an informational database.

The Marketing Coordinator may also be required to represent the organization at relevant conferences and trade shows.

Strong organizational, analytical, project management, time management and communication skills.
Computer literacy with MS Programs as well as the Internet and social media
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organization.
Customer focused
Strong research skills.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent academic qualification in marketing (preferred), business or communications.
