POSITION SUMMARY:
The service department must support sales and other activities as well as respond to various client and customer requirements. The Service Technician must ensure that only the highest levels of quality are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Service Technician will report to the Service Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be familiar with all technological aspects relating to service of wireless communications devices including but not limited to:
- 2-way radio
- Cellular
- Satellite devices
- Wireless Internet
- Video Surveillance
- Customer Service
- Deal with both internal and external customers with a friendly and helpful demeanor
- Identify customer requirements (i.e. sales support, installation or service requirement)
- Assess customer needs (prioritize)
- Recommend solutions
- Ongoing customer support
- Ensure both on-site and in-shop work are completed in a timely manner
SCHEDULE:
- Typically, Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:30pm
- 60-minute lunch break and two (paid) 15-minute breaks provided each day
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Electronics Technician certificate or diploma
Experience:
- Previous bench and field technician experience an asset
