Thank you.
Arlington Beach Camp and Conference Centre is looking for a Director of Maintenance at our year round facility on Last Mountain Lake. This is a key role in a Christian ministry that impacts the lives of people of all ages.
As Director of Maintenance, you will be a Jack or Jill of all trades. You will have a desire to learn new things every day and be a mature leader, able to work with and mentor young staff while living out a life consistent with the camp's Statement of Faith.
This position is adaptable depending on your skills and interests. We will need you to oversee the water treatment plant, maintain equipment, landscape the facility, repair and maintain sports equipment for programs such as mountain bikes and archery, drive our tractor, pump out septic tanks, perform basic repairs and renovations on buildings, and a whole bunch of other things.
We don't expect you to do all those things without training, which we will be happy to provide. It is more important that you are the right person with the right interests and abilities than to have you arrive already trained.
Whats in it for you? Low pay, long hours, on site living, an awesome work environment with great people, opportunities to learn new skills, being a mentor, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children, adults, and staff. As a leader in a Christian ministry, you will have a voice in future planning and vision casting, and will be a key player in the development of the ministry.
Arlington Beach is associated with the Free Methodist Church in Canada, and our staff reflect the priorities expressed in their statement of faith (www.fmcic.ca).
If this sounds like a job for you, then start the conversation. Send us your resume and a cover letter telling us why you think you'd be a good candidate for the job. If we agree that there might be a fit, we will contact you for an interview.
