ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Project Manager- ICT is accountable for providing leadership, direction and project management expertise on SaskTel ICT Business Solutions most high priority, complex and critical projects. Accountable for providing leadership, direction and project management expertise to enable the implementation and ongoing maintenance and support of current and new technologies and initiatives. Accountable to research, develop, evolve, educate, implement and manage industry leading best practices in project management processes and methodologies. Provides professional advice, coaching, and support to the division on Project Management procedures and standards. Leads and informally manages a highly skilled team in the assessment, recommendation, design and implementation of customized applications, as well as corporate initiatives, to meet the needs of both the external customers and internal clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education and training normally gained through post secondary education at the University or Technical Institute level in one of following: Computer Science/Business Administration/Commerce/Engineering and a minimum of 5 years in project management leadership or equivalent combination of education and project management experience.

2. Successful completion of Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) designation.

3. Demonstrated success and a proven track record in managing multiple projects or delivering large and complex projects under significant pressure within constraints of budget, tight timelines and resource
constraints.

4. Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and processes as outlined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Project Body of Knowledge (PMBOK 4th Edition)
