Summer Employment
Educational Counsellor

Teaching academics and or recreational sports

JOB DESCRIPTION:

-Gather information and together with the director to come up with a program most suitable for each child and a desired goal for each student

-Prepare and teach specific lessons to campers

-Utilize available resources or develop appropriate learning material to effectively teach campers

-Demonstrate creative planning & teaching to make learning an interesting & enjoyable experience, for campers and to utilize the natural environment to the fullest in lessons.

-Compile information on children for reports purposes

-Plan & conduct an afternoon recreation  group

-Teach skills to campers which will lead  to independent living.

-In conjunction with other staff, maintain a daily record of campers, experiences, behavior and progress.

-Together with other staff write a report on each camper.
