Summer Student JobThe Town of Wynyard is seeking knowledgeable and energetic Pool Supervisors for the 2017 season. Potential candidates are required to have up to date certificates including Standard First Aid + CPR-C and AED Training, National Lifeguard Award and Pool Operators Certificate. LSS Swim Instructor, LSS Lifesaving Instructor, and coaching certificates are all considered an asset. Position reports to the Director of Leisure Services.
Anticipated Start/End Date: May August 2017
Hours per week: 30-40

Job Responsibilities
Manage daily operations at the Wynyard Swimming Pool including administering chemicals, documenting water chemistry, opening and closing procedures, routine cleaning duties, equipment checks, and daily financial logs
Supervise staff and conduct performance evaluations
Maintain positive public relations with the community
Enforce pool rules and ensure the facility is a safe environment for staff and swimmers
Work with the Director of Leisure Services to implement new and innovative programs or events
Experience: A minimum of 1 year experience working in a swimming pool facility. Previous experience in a Managerial or Supervisory position is an asset.
