Orange Tree Village is Canada's only intergenerational living community, located right in Regina's Harbour Landing.  We opened our doors to our first senior residents in December 2016. A few weeks later we welcomed our first children into our learning centre - occupying temporary space on our 3rd floor until our permanent space in the lower level is completed. In early/mid April we anticipate opening in our permanent space, growing up to 90 licensed spaces (from our current 22). Children range in ages from 6 weeks old to 12 years of age.

The right person for this job will understand that we are not a "daycare in a nursing home".  We are an intergenerational living community that facilitates opportunities for children, seniors, parents, university students, persons with disabilities, community members etc. to interact, engage and create lasting and meaningful relationships.  We facilitate these opportunities through intentionally designed and executed programming centred around the Reggio Amilia philosophy of early childhood education.

The right person for this job will be equal parts administrator, educator, and entrepreneur.  You will be pushed out of your comfort zone and we hope you push us out of ours. You will be articulate, make sound decisions that support our mission of enhancing quality of life through quality care, and have extensive knowledge and experience as an educator.
