Description

Responsible to:
Program Manager, Prince Albert Metis Women's Association

Duties may include but not limited to:

- The Program Facilitator will enhance the skills of Youth participants ages 16-29 through a classroom setting.
- The facilitator will initiate classroom learning as well as coordinate events with community resources and partners.
- The Program Facilitator will assist the Program Coordinator in assessing the employability needs, literacy levels, as well as the vocational interests of the participants in the program.
- The Program Facilitator will assist in developing a training plan that is realistic and obtainable for each participant. Researching, developing, implementing and delivering life skills, literacy and employment based curriculum to participants.
- The Program Facilitator will assist the Program Coordinator in the work-placement evaluations and assessments at the end of each classroom session.
- Assisting participants in setting and attaining realistic goals while identifying the strengths they will take into the labour market.
- Ensuring youth are made aware of the expectations of potential employers as well as the workplace and determining their level of employment readiness.
- Evaluating the academic, vocational and literacy needs of the participants and ensuring referrals and follow through to alternate community resources.
- Providing reports.
