Description

Permanent full time Systems Testing Technician (NOC: 2283).Salary of $28 per hour, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
Job Duties:
Ensure our computer monitoring systems perform their proposed functions in a satisfactory manner
Work closely with the development team to understand system design in order to effectively design, develop, and execute test protocols
Specialize in monitoring a specific part or set of components. The method of inspection depends on the product being tested
Review electronic components will assemble and run test circuits, whereas technicians reviewing mechanical parts will perform calibration tests under real-world conditions
Develop and document software testing plans
Install software and hardware and configure operating system software in preparation for testing
Execute, analyze and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests
Develop and implement software and information system testing policies, procedures and scripts
Report and track product defects; verify fixes for defects while ensuring other areas of product functionality arent compromised
Participate in the assessment of potential hazards and devise appropriate tests to verify mitigation of identified risks
Use exploratory test techniques to provide early testing feedback throughout the design and development process

Job Qualifications:
Completion of a college program in computer science, computer programming or network administration or related
Over 10 years work experience in  an organization working on new product development
Strong foundation in computers and technology
Experience testing software and/or systems using distributed computing architectures an asset
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
