Purpose: To assist in research projects primarily focused on the role of circadian clock in oral disease and in oral diseases prevention and treatment.
Nature of Work: Reporting to the Associate Dean, Research, the Research Assistant will interact primarily with faculty, staff, and students to support research outcomes. Receiving broad guidance from their supervisor, the incumbent will exercise effective decision making within the scope of job duties and is required to use judgment to set their own priorities to meet deadlines. The work requires innovative thinking, sound judgement, and discretion. Flexibility is required in order to meet tight deadlines; the work environment is dynamic with competing priorities. In this role, the incumbent will be exposed to animal dander, biomedical waste, and radioactive material. Effective professional relationships that support collaboration and problem solving are essential for success in this position as the role may act as a liaison with other departments, colleges and units, or organizations.
