Description

SARC is a non-profit association representing over 80 community-based organizations that provide developmental, residential, and employment supports/services to thousands of individuals with disabilities.  SARCAN Recycling is the recycling division of SARC.  For more information, visit www.sarcsarcan.ca.

SARC has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Accounts Payable position at its administration office in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Controller, you will be working closely with the other members of the accounting team to fulfill the accounts payable function with duties including creation of purchase orders, entering and processing of payables, filing, bank deposits and other support as required. Work hours are 8:30-4:30, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and be a strong team player who is willing to learn and enjoys being challenged. This position offers competitive compensation and employer paid benefits.

Position requirements:
-Post secondary accounting certificate/diploma
-3 years of progressive experience in a business environment, preferably in an accounts payable position
-Experience with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP would be an asset)
-Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Accuracy, attention to detail, and effective organizational skills are essential
-Ability to effectively multi-task in order to set priorities and meet timelines in respect of handling large volumes of receipts and payables
-Must be committed to team work and meeting team goals
-Works independently and collectively as appropriate
-Ability to adapt as additional requests for information, reports, cheques, etc are presented
-Must provide a satisfactory criminal record check as a condition of employment
