PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Human Resources Advisor acts as a first point of contact to provide leadership, expertise, advice, CBA interpretations and human resource strategies to leadership across the Co-op Refinery. The Advisors will provide guidance in the areas of employee engagement, creating a high performance culture, employee relations, organizational development, organizational design, performance management, compensation, and policy interpretation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Human Resources Advisors works directly with the Co-op Refinery Management team by:
Providing coaching and support to leaders and employees on HR systems, processes, policies, procedures, and programs
Advising on human resources policies and procedures, employee relations, performance, labour and regulatory issues
Providing interpretation and administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Contributing to the resolution of complicated or complex cases and activities and the investigation and resolution of disputes and complaints
Identifying ongoing needs or problems that require research, analysis and resolution, in order to meet the changing business requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include a Bachelor Degree with preference of a Human Resources major. 5 years of HR generalist experience in a unionized environment is required. A CHRP is considered asset.
