Description

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general maintenance on packaging and production equipment. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with safety, preventive, predictive and productive maintenance systems

Key Responsibilities
-Maintain production line equipment & tools to ensure safety & minimize downtime;
-Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting and repair on all processing equipment, including bucket elevators, conveyors, cutters, flaking machines and packing equipment to ensure reliability and safety
-Focus on safe working practices and quality workmanship;
-Complete assigned work orders on a timely fashion
-Ensure good housekeeping within entire building;
-Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

Qualifications
-Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role;
-Experience in preventative maintenance; electrical, mechanical and pneumatic trouble shooting;
-Food Grade Manufacturing experience or Industrial Agricultural maintenance;
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to work independently in a busy environment
-Ability to react to urgent production maintenance issues.
-Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
-Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards and Practices
-Able to operate forklift and scissor lift
-Must follow all work instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Procedures, Illness and Disease Policy and all other company policies and procedures.
-Millwright License or equivalent considered an asset
-Valid Driver's License
-Physical ability to lift to 20 Kg
-Ability to respond to an after-hour emergency call if needed
-Exposed to various temperatures and conditions; work both indoors and outdoors
